JOB TITLE: Lead Medical Assistant
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Lead Medical Office Assistant supports and leads the daily functioning and responsibilities of the clinic MA team.

Ensuring that all MA responsibilities and tasks are completed and documented for quality purposes. Includes: equipment and safety checks, stocking supplies, quality control, lab processes, medication ordering, materials management orders, VFC primary coordinator and oversight

Directing daily back office standing needs, including: making decisions about re-assignments for unplanned absences, changes in provider and patient needs to maintain efficient workflow and high quality of customer service. Coordinates with the Clinical Practice Manager and Administrative Assistant regarding staff PTO requests and adjusts assignments to ensure adequate MA coverage

Responsible for orientation, training and support of new hires and on-going training of MA's to maintain licensing skills. Includes: New Hire Competency checklists, Annual Skills checks, and providing feedback to the Clinical Practice Manager for Annual Performance Reviews.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Requires full range of body motion including Lifting, bending, stooping, stretching, sitting, kneeling, and handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination. Involves standing and walking. Requires normal visual acuity and hearing. Requires exposure to bodily fluids. Requires manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, calculator, telephone, copier and such other office equipment as necessary.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: Frequent exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, medicinal preparations and other conditions common to a clinic environment. Work may be stressful at times. Interaction with others is constant and interruptive

Benefit Eligibility Requirements – Employees regularly scheduled at least 20 hours per week.
