RouteGenie is seeking a Senior Billing & Expense Associate to own the execution of billing, collections, claims billing, sales commission calculations, and expense oversight. This is a hands-on individual contributor role responsible for ensuring revenue is billed accurately, cash is collected efficiently, and company spend is visible and controlled.
This role sits at the center of our contract-to-cash process and works closely with internal teams and external accounting partners to support a clean, scalable finance operation as the business grows.
This is an on-site position (Monday–Friday). The base salary range for this role is $60,000-$75,000.
Key ResponsibilitiesBilling, Revenue & Accounts ReceivablePrepare and issue accurate customer invoices in accordance with contract termsTrack accounts receivable and manage collections follow-upsResolve customer billing questions and discrepanciesMaintain contract-to-invoice documentationReconcile invoiced revenue to cash receipts and accounting recordsIdentify and escalate risks related to delayed billing or collections
Concierge Claims BillingExecute concierge claims billing workflows from submission through paymentTrack claims status, aging, and denialsFollow up with payers and partners as neededMaintain clear documentation of claims billed versus cash receivedIdentify recurring issues or delays and surface trends to leadership
Sales Commission CalculationsCalculate monthly sales commissions based on approved compensation plansMaintain commission inputs, rules, and supporting documentationPrepare commission statements for internal reviewReconcile commissions to the underlying revenue activityCoordinate commission payout inputs with payroll providersFlag discrepancies or edge cases for review
Expense & Spend OversightReview accounts payable summaries prepared by outsourced accounting partnersTrack departmental spend against budgetMonitor recurring vendors and expense trendsEnsure expenses are coded correctlyFlag unusual or unexpected spend and support approval processes
Month-End Close SupportSupport revenue and expense review prior to month-end closePartner with external accounting firms to ensure a timely and accurate closeReconcile key revenue and expense accountsMaintain documentation to support audits, reporting, and diligence
Qualifications4–8+ years of experience in billing, accounts receivable, revenue operations, or accounting operationsExperience in SaaS, healthcare, NEMT, or other complex billing environments preferredStrong attention to detail and process disciplineComfortable owning execution independentlyStrong Excel / spreadsheet skills / ability and willingness to leverage AI agentsClear, professional communication skillsExperience working with outsourced accounting or payroll partnersAccounting or finance degree helpful; CPA not required
