Manager In-Patient and Emergency Services Townsen Memorial Hospital is looking for an In-Patient and Emergency Services Manager to join our Humble team!
SUMMARY:
The Manager of In-Patient and Emergency Services is responsible for supporting high-quality, patient-centered care through the day-to-day coordination of staffing, workflow planning, and budget monitoring. The position is responsible for promoting a collaborative, accountable work environment and assisting in the development and implementation of strategies, policies, and procedures aligned with facility objectives for Respiratory Therapy, Laboratory Services, Emergency Room, and In-Patient Services. This role provides operational oversight for these departments across the Townsen Memorial Health System (TMH) system and ensures consistent service delivery in support of organizational goals.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Supports a strong clinical identity by implementing evidence-based practices that enhance patient safety and care quality.
• Monitors variation in clinical practice and assists with process improvements to increase efficiency, effectiveness, and cost-appropriate care.
• Maintains awareness of internal/external benchmarks, accreditation requirements, and quality standards; supports initiatives to achieve compliance.
• Stays current with regulatory requirements and assists in the development and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure compliance.
• Ensures equipment is maintained and functioning in accordance with regulatory and accreditation guidelines.
• Supports efficient patient throughout coordination of staffing, patient flow, and bed management processes.
• Helps develop and uphold care coordination policies and foster interdisciplinary communication to ensure clinical competencies align with patient needs.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
• Bachelor's Degree
• Registered Nurse in the State of Texas
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certified
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certified or must be obtained within sixty (60) days of hire.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certified or must be obtained within sixty (60) days of hire.
• Two (2) years of experience in leadership role.
• Three (3) years of emergency services experience.
