Salary Range: $90,250 - $103,875 / year The OB/GYN Nurse Manager will lead clinical operations in the CHP OB/GYN practice. This role combines clinical leadership, program development, and hands-on nursing care to ensure exceptional experiences for our prenatal and gynecologic patients.The Nurse Manager will manage the total nursing oversight of the obstetric patient population-ensuring strong continuity across the entire prenatal and postpartum journey, from intake through delivery and fourth trimester care. This includes overseeing clinical protocols, ensuring timely completion of all required testing and referrals, and ensuring readiness for provider appointments. The Nurse Manager will mentor and support the nursing and clinical team, collaborate closely with OB/GYN providers, and drive clinical excellence, workflow optimization, and quality standards for women's health services.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

OB Program & Clinical Coordination
- Own total nursing responsibility for obstetric patient care across the full perinatal continuum
- Oversee and perform OB intake process, ensuring comprehensive initial assessments, education, and care planning
- Independently manage routine postpartum follow-up visits and patient education
- Develop, implement, and monitor a systematic program to track all OB patients to ensure:
- Prenatal labs and genetic testing are ordered and completed on time
- Ultrasounds, fetal surveillance/NSTs, and specialty referrals (e.g., gestational diabetes, MFM) are scheduled and results reviewed
- Results and documents are entered into the EHR prior to patient visits
- GDM (gestational diabetes) protocols and referrals are initiated and followed
- Patients receive timely postpartum care and support (including depression screening, breastfeeding, and contraception counseling)
- Monitor progress toward prenatal care benchmarks and outcomes
Clinical Leadership & Staff Support
- Lead, support, and develop nursing and clinical support staff (RN/LPN/CMA team)
- Establish and manage clinical workflows supporting safety, efficiency, and exceptional patient care
- Conduct onboarding, training, and competency validation for clinical staff
- Provide real-time support for clinical issues, escalations, triage needs, and urgent workflows
- Oversee nurse triage protocols and telephone advice standards
Direct Patient Care
- Provide hands-on clinical care, including triage, patient education, procedures, and nurse visits
- Deliver trauma-informed, inclusive, patient-centered care
- Support OB/GYN physicians, CMAs, and NP in comprehensive patient care delivery Culture & Communication
- Foster a respectful, inclusive, and team-centered culture
- Serve as clinical liaison between staff, providers, practice manager, and patients
- Support process improvement initiatives to optimize patient flow and access

- Current MA RN license
- 3+ years clinical experience in OB/GYN, Labor & Delivery, or Women's Health
- Experience in clinical leadership (charge nurse, lead RN, supervisor, etc.)
- Strong triage, critical thinking, and communication skills
- Passion for patient-centered women's health care
Education and Training:
- RN required, BSN preferred
- 5+ years OB nursing experience
- Outpatient women's health practice experience
- EMR proficiency (Athena preferred)
- Fetal monitoring certification or willingness to obtain
