Education Specialist - Renal
- Variable weekends up to 8 per year
- No Holidays
- Participate in the on-call rotation
Experience:
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing. Has a thorough knowledge of nursing principles and procedures.
- Minimum of 5 years recent renal experience.
Education and Training:
Associates Degree in Nursing. BSN preferred.
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; BSN required; Masters preferred. Arrhythmia course within 6 months.
License, Certification & Registration:
- RN License — Currently licensed as an RN in Massachusetts
- BLS
- BLS instructor certification.
- NEPH — Nephrology certification is required within 18 months of hire.
Other Requirements:
Demonstrates continuing education in accordance with State regulations. Assures compliance with unit-specific scope of practice. Must be able to speak the English language in an understandable manner. Must possess sight/hearing senses or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately, so the requirements of the position can be fully met.
