Position Summary
Are you a motivated and empathetic team player with a passion for excellent patient care? Join our fast-growing company as a Part-Time Medical Office Assistant and contribute to supporting physicians in delivering outstanding healthcare experiences. What You Will Be Doing:
- Administrative Duties:
- Professionally answer calls, greet patients, manage referrals, and handle billing.
- Efficiently manage patient information, ensuring confidentiality and security at all times.
- Perform other related clerical and administrative tasks as required by clinic management.
Lab Duties:
- Collect and prepare laboratory specimens.
- Perform basic laboratory tests.
- Dispose of contaminated supplies and sterilize medical instruments.
Patient Care Duties:
- Coordinate patient care throughout the clinic process, including check-in, preparing and escorting to exam rooms, and preparing exam/treatment rooms.
- Assist patients with using our self-check-in kiosks and the Ocean online booking platform as needed.
- Answer patient questions and provide post-appointment service.
- Monitor the waiting room to ensure patient comfort and flow.
What You Bring:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- A strong team player with excellent verbal and written communication.
- Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize work effectively.
- Capability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach.
- Open, accountable, and tech-savvy.
Preferred Qualifications (Assets):
- Experience as an MOA or MOA program certification.
- Experience with OSCAR EMR system.
- Good understanding of MSP billing.
