JOB SUMMARY

The Registered Nurse Transport is responsible for the safe and timely transport of patients to and from healthcare facilities, ensuring high standards of patient care and safety throughout the journey. Duties include operating the ambulance, assisting with patient transfers, maintaining vehicle readiness, and completing all required documentation. They will also help in the Emergency Department as needed. The ideal candidate will possess a valid Indiana driver’s license (Class C or as required), a clean driving record, and current first aid and CPR certification. Previous experience in patient transport or ambulance driving is preferred. Physical ability to lift and assist patients, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to compassionate care are essential. REQUIREMENTS:
- Clean driving record and ability to pass a motor vehicle record check
- Physical ability to assist with patient transfers, including lifting, carrying, and maneuvering patients and equipment as needed.
- Strong communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- The employee must be 21 or older to drive RMH vehicles and have a driving record that is eligible to meet the satisfactory driving record standard conducted during the background check to be eligible for the position.
- The applicant's job offer is contingent on eligibility and if the applicant does not have a valid driver's license or has a driving record that falls at or below the criteria, the applicant will not be hired for positions where driving is an essential job function.
