MRI Technologist (Registered)Position Overview:
The MRI Technologist integrates scientific knowledge, technical imaging expertise, and compassionate patient care to generate high-quality diagnostic information. This role provides both direct and indirect services tailored to the clinical needs of each patient and serves as a key contributor in achieving excellence in safety, quality, and patient experience outcomes.
Compensation: Starting pay begins at $33.59 per hour, with competitive rates based on experience and education.

Key Responsibilities:
	- 
	
Perform magnetic resonance imaging procedures as ordered by physicians, following established protocols.
	 
	- 
	
Prepare patients for exams, review safety screening forms, and ensure comfort and clear communication throughout procedures.
	 
	- 
	
Operate MRI equipment safely, ensuring appropriate image quality and adherence to all safety standards.
	 
	- 
	
Collaborate with radiologists and technologists to support diagnostic accuracy and workflow efficiency.
	 
	- 
	
Maintain accurate documentation and assist with image archival and retrieval.
	 
	- 
	
Respond to patient needs during procedures and assist in emergencies according to scope and training.
	 
	- 
	
Support the training and mentorship of new technologists or students as needed.
	 
Position Requirements:
Minimum Education:
Experience:
	- 
	
Six months of supervised clinical MRI scanning experience
	 
	- 
	
OR Associate degree in an allied health field (or a Bachelor's degree with certification in another clinical field) and six months of MRI scanning experience
	 
	- 
	
Ability to complete internal MRI orientation program

	- Strong technical skills in MRI imaging and safety practices

Physical Demands:
	- Continuous standing and walking long periods = to or greater than > 8 hours per shift
 
	- Speaking, reading, and writing, expanded > 8 hours per day
 
	- Exposed to vibration and cramped spaces > 1-hour day
 
	- Frequently mobilizes patients > 4 hours per day
 
	- Frequently per shift: lifts, carries pushes, and/or pulls > 50 lbs.
 
	- Frequently per hour: bends, squats, kneels, twists, turns and reaches
 
	- Frequently per minute: hand, finger, and wrist repetition and moderate dexterity
 
	- Frequently per hour: exposed to soft voices > 3 feet away
 
	- Frequently per hour: exposed to close eye work
 
	- Frequently per shift: may be exposed to Ionizing/nonionizing radiation exposure, including x-ray and microwave
 
Working Conditions:
	- Regularly exposed to the risk of bloodborne diseases
 
	- Exposed to hazards from electrical/mechanical/power equipment
 
	- Exposed to unpleasant elements (accident, injury, slippery surfaces, uneven surfaces), etc.
 
	- Handles emergency or crisis situations
 
	- Subject to irregular hours (days, evenings, nights, weekends, holidays)
 
	- On-call required
