ER UM Supervisor Position Summary
The RN Utilization Management Supervisor is responsible and accountable for organizing and directing all aspects of the ED/UR RN Utilization Management team. The RN Utilization Management Supervisor reporting directly to the ED/UR/ Transitions Director and works collaboratively with the PCM team on daily operations of the ED & Utilization Dept, the Director of Continuum of Care and/or appropriate Chain of Command and hospital departments in supporting utilization management operations, care coordination, and patient throughput. The Supervisor serves as a positive role model and sets the professional tone for their area. The RN Utilization Management Supervisor provides leadership and management in the areas of staff & customer satisfaction, stewardship of resources and effective care coordination, human resources, communication, patient advocacy, performance improvement and leadership/professional development.
ER UM Supervisor Position Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree is required or in pursuit within six (6) months of accepting the position.
- Current license as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state in which you live.
- Three (3) years of clinical nursing experience required.
- Minimum of one (1) year leadership experience preferred.
- Case management experience preferred.
ER UM Supervisor Schedule
- Primarily day shift, Monday through Friday
- Evenings and weekends may be required as needed.
- Occasional on-call duties
ER UM Supervisor Benefits
- At TidalHealth, team members working at least 36 hours per pay period based on 12-hour shift schedules or at least 37.5 hours for non 12-hour shift schedules and part-time team members working at least 30 hours or more on weekends only are eligible for benefits.
