JOB SUMMARY:
TelyGo, the telehealth program of Partners Behavioral Healthcare, is seeking a disciplined and strategic Business Development Representative (BDR) to support the expansion of our services in substance use disorder (SUD), mental health, and comprehensive assessments.
This role focuses on creating and sustaining strong referral pipelines while cultivating relationships with healthcare providers, community organizations, and the legal and correctional systems.
While much of our care is delivered virtually, this position will balance both in-person and virtual outreach—meeting partners face-to-face, attending events, and introducing TelyGo's innovative solutions where appropriate. The ideal candidate is tech-savvy, skilled in relationship development, and thrives in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment. Proficiency with CRM systems and tracking outreach metrics is essential.
This role requires a professional with experience navigating the criminal justice system, a proven ability to build referral pipelines, and comfort engaging with a wide range of stakeholders, including corrections professionals, healthcare providers, and community organizations.
Success in this role will be measured by key performance metrics including referral volume, conversion rates, CRM activity, and outreach engagement.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Referral Growth & Relationship Management
Conduct proactive outreach—through in-person visits, phone, email, LinkedIn, and virtual meetings—to build and grow referral pipelines. Serve as a trusted contact for referral partners, maintaining relationships through consistent check-ins and clear communication. Work closely with TelyGo's clinical and intake teams to ensure smooth client transitions and a high-quality onboarding experience.
Business Development & Lead Generation
Identify and qualify new referral opportunities across healthcare providers, employers, community organizations, and the legal and correctional sectors. Maintain accurate records of outreach, leads, and partner activity in the CRM (HubSpot, Salesforce, etc.). Track and report performance metrics such as referral volume, conversions, and client acquisition, using insights to refine strategy.
Community & Event Engagement
Represent TelyGo at community health fairs, behavioral health conferences, and professional networking events to raise awareness and generate leads. Host virtual information sessions to educate stakeholders about TelyGo's full range of services—including SUD treatment, mental health support, and comprehensive assessments—and strengthen referral networks.
Technology & Digital Engagement
Use collaboration platforms (Zoom, Microsoft Teams, etc.) for efficient communication and partner engagement. Leverage LinkedIn and other professional platforms to connect with referral sources and amplify TelyGo's mission. Support marketing campaigns by tailoring outreach materials and helping drive digital engagement.
Cross-Departmental Collaboration
Partner with clinical, admissions, and operations teams to ensure seamless client onboarding and placement. Share market intelligence and feedback with leadership to inform program development and service enhancements. Collaborate with marketing to refine outreach materials and campaigns targeting referral partners.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Exceptional relationship-building and stakeholder engagement skills, with a professional and personable communication style. Strong public speaking and presentation skills; comfortable delivering information sessions to diverse audiences. This includes both in person and virtually. Strategic thinking and lead generation skills with a proactive, self-starting approach to outreach and networking. Solid writing skills for crafting professional emails, presentations, and marketing materials. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. Ability to adapt messaging and approach depending on the audience (e.g., corrections officers vs. healthcare providers). Ability to analyze trends, identify new opportunities, and contribute to business development strategy. Ability to collaborate across departments to support integrated client care and smooth onboarding.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Proficiency in HubSpot CRM (or similar CRM tools) for pipeline management and reporting. Minimum 2 years of experience in business development, account management, or referral relations (preferably in telehealth, behavioral health, healthcare, or social services). Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
