Duncan-Parnell is looking for a Print Production & Install Associate to join our Signs & Graphics team in North Charleston, SC. This role is a critical position supporting both operations and customers in our Signs & Graphics division. The ideal candidate possesses print production experience, is mechanically inclined, and has the capacity to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced team setting.
Job Summary
The Print Production & Install Associate is responsible for handling all aspects of the production process for a wide range of signage products. This role demands a high level of precision and efficiency in production, assembly, fulfillment, installation, and inventory management, along with maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the shop.
Essential Functions and Duties
- Production & assembly
- Assemble and prepare final products for installation or delivery, ensuring accuracy and quality.
- Prioritize orders for finishing / production.
- Operate various printing and production equipment to produce high-quality sign products such as a laminator, sewing machine, CNC etc.
- Quality Control
- Conduct quality checks throughout the production process to ensure all products meet company standards and client specifications.
- ensure there are 2 quality control sign offs on every job.
- Address and resolve any issues that arise during production.
- Shop Maintenance
- Maintain cleanliness of equipment and work environment to ensure printers and devices maintain operational status.
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
- Fulfillment & Shipping
- Manage the packing and shipping/delivery of final products, ensuring they are securely and efficiently prepared for delivery, including scheduling, assisting w/ loading freight orders as needed.
- Coordinate with Project Coordinators on pick up times, size/weight for scheduling LTL orders.
- Coordinate with the sales team and clients to confirm delivery schedules and requirements.
- Inventory Management
- Maintain accurate inventory records of materials and supplies.
- Order and restock materials as needed, ensuring the availability of necessary items for production.
- Receive, verify, and stock incoming material shipments and deliveries from outside vendors.
- Collaboration & Communication
- Work closely with other team members and departments to ensure smooth operation and timely completion of projects.
- Communicate effectively with team members regarding production schedules, deadlines, and any challenges.
- Installation
- Perform pre-installation and finishing work to prepare orders for installation.
- Painting posts, adding hardware, weeding , masking, building sign frames, adding adhesive on ADA)
- Perform on-site or location-based installations with guidance from lead installer.
- Banners, exterior signs with posts (4x8; V-signs, small parking signs, etc.)
- Interior signage (acrylics, wayfinding signs, impact logos)
- Installation services will require occasional use of a lift (scissor lift, boom lift)
- Speaking to customer on-site and representing Duncan-Parnell professionally while in the field
- Follow SOP’s and job protocols
- Additional duties as needed
Requirements
- High school graduate
- Mechanically inclined
- Previous sign and graphics experience a plus
- Print production and/or graphic design experience a plus
