As a valued member of our Rehab team and under the guidance of the Clinical Supervisor, you will play a critical role in helping patients reclaim their independence and quality of life following burns, illness, injury, or other debilitating conditions. Your expertise will guide the evaluation, planning, and execution of personalized treatment programs that empower patients on their journey to recovery.
What You’ll Do:

Develop and deliver tailored therapy programs to help patients regain strength, mobility, and confidence.

Educate and coach patients and their families on care techniques, exercises, and recovery strategies that extend beyond the clinic.

Collaborate with after-care services to ensure a smooth and supported transition post-treatment.

Utilize therapeutic exercises, techniques, and modalities to promote healing and functional independence.

Monitor progress closely, adjusting treatments based on patient response and recovery goals.

Design, fit, and provide training on the proper use of splints and orthotics to support mobility and comfort.

Support patients in mastering essential life tasks such as dressing, grooming, and basic self-care activities.

Salary Range: Hourly rate: $39.96 - $58.94
Qualifications:
Education:
- Requires a Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy.
Experience:
- Requires a minimum of zero to one (0-1) year of clinical OT experience in inpatient and outpatient services (therapy school experience acceptable).
- Must have forty (40) hours of AZ Burn Center orientation with burn occupational therapist(s), or have at least 1 year of burn experience within the last 5 years.
Specialized Training:
Certification/Licensure:
- A current or temporary Arizona state Occupational Therapy licensure is required.
- Requires BLS. A BLS card obtained through an approved American Heart Association (AHA) training center is preferred and will be required within 3 months.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Must possess good interpersonal and communication skills both verbally and in writing including knowledge of basic grammar, spelling & punctuation.
- Requires the ability to read, write and speak effectively in English.
- Must be able to communicate effectively with patients and staff members.
- Requires excellent organizational skills, the ability to work with professionals, and maintain confidentiality standards.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to meet designated deadlines is required.
