This position requires a highly skilled individual with a background in or knowledge of; system interfaces such as HL7/FHIR, API Data/ Mulesoft, and programming in multiple languages. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the activities and collaboration of a dynamic team consisting of Programmer Analysts, API Data Engineers, and Interface Analysts. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring seamless integration and data exchange within our organization, assisting with resource allocation, as well as acting as a technical lead for assigned team members. They will also work ticket queues in their field of specialty in order to contribute to overall productivity of the team(s).

Team Leadership:
- Lead, mentor, and guide a team of Programmer Analysts, API Data Engineers, and HL7 Interface Analysts.
- Assign resources to work on projects and tasks in a manner that balances workload and ensures learning opportunities.

Project Management:
- Oversee end-to-end project lifecycles related to system integration, API development, and interface implementation.
- Ensure timely delivery of projects within scope and budget.
System Integration:
- Collaborate with Programmer Analysts to design and implement effective system integrations.
- Work closely with API Data Engineers to develop and maintain APIs for seamless data exchange.
Health Level 7 (HL7) Integration:
- Supervise HL7 Interface Analysts in the design and implementation of HL7 interfaces for healthcare systems.
- Ensure compliance with HL7 standards and best practices.
Quality Assurance:
- Implement and enforce quality assurance processes to guarantee the reliability and accuracy of integrated systems.
- Conduct regular reviews and audits to identify areas for improvement.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Facilitate effective communication between different teams and departments involved in integration projects.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
- Report to Director of Information Systems team status, progress, and escalations related to daily or project work.
High Complexity Problem Solving and Development
- Work high complexity tickets in field of knowledge/specialty in addition to coordinator responsibilities.
- Works with the Systems Analysts and Managers to determine feasibility of complex requests.
- Completes the analysis required to determine the most efficient program designs, algorithms, file access techniques, and output formats needed to create efficient and effective software solutions.
- Writes or contributes to instructions or manuals to guide end users, analysts, and other members of the team.
- Confirms project requirements by reviewing program objective, input data, and output requirements with analyst and end-users.
- Actively performs troubleshooting activities in order to avoid potential problems.
- Manages projects and teams.
- Assists in the development and follows established standards, methodologies and procedures to ensure quality work product is produced.
ORGANIZATIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Attends and participates in department meetings and is accountable for all information shared.
- Completes mandatory education, annual competencies and department specific education within established timeframes.
- Completes annual employee health requirements within established timeframes.
- Maintains license/certification, registration in good standing throughout fiscal year.
- Direct patient care providers are required to maintain current BCLS (CPR) and other certifications as required by position/department.
- Consistently utilizes appropriate universal precautions, protective equipment, and ergonomic techniques to protect patient and self.
- Adheres to regulatory agency requirements, survey process and compliance.
- Complies with established organization and department policies.
- Available to work overtime in addition to working additional or other shifts and schedules when required.

Education and Experience
The knowledge, skills and abilities as indicated below are normally acquired through the successful completion of a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Proven experience in a leadership role overseeing integration projects with a strong background in programming, API development, and/or HL7 standards.
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of healthcare systems and data exchange standards.
- Familiarity with relevant programming languages and technologies.
- Project management certification (e.g., PMP) is a plus.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills.
Working Conditions
- Works in an office environment.
- Must be effective in a fast-paced, quality focused, multi-priority environment requiring the ability to prioritize workload in order to meet deadlines.
- May experience some mental/visual fatigue due to continued use of computer equipment.
Physical Demands
Requires the physical ability and stamina (i.e., to sit, stand and/or walk for prolonged periods of time, lift, hold and carry objects weighing up to 30 pounds, etc.) to perform the essential functions of the position.
