Startup People Solutions is working exclusively with Destination Baby Co. on this San Diego based role.
Destination Baby Co. provides high-quality, clean, and safe baby gear rentals for families traveling throughout San Diego. We are passionate about helping parents feel supported, and we pride ourselves on accuracy, cleanliness, and reliability.
We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Baby Gear Operations Lead to manage daily gear preparation and inventory at our Pacific Beach warehouse.
What You’ll Do
- Prep outgoing orders for delivery with precision and attention to detail
- Pull same-day orders and double-check for accuracy
- Create customized packages for families (toys, art kits, book bundles, etc.)
- Handle all laundry for returned sheets and towels, ensuring everything is clean, sanitized, and ready for the next rental
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse
- Perform inventory management tasks:
- Run gear return audits
- Barcode and add new items to inventory
- Track gear movement using our internal inventory system
- Work with systems including Connecteam, a barcode scanner, and computer
What We’re Looking For
- Extremely detail-oriented — accuracy is key
- Highly organized and self-directed — you’ll own the warehouse setup and flow
- Comfortable standing during most of your shift and lifting up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work independently while coordinating with the wider team
- Preferred experience in:
- Inventory or warehouse environments
- Gear quality checks or logistics
- Familiarity with baby gear (a big plus!)
Schedule & Structure
- 4 hours per day, 5 days per week
- Must include one weekend day (Saturday or Sunday)
- Exact hours (time of day) to be confirmed during onboarding
- Fixed schedule once set
Compensation & Perks
- $20–$23/hour based on experience
