Join us to build a more rewarding financial future for all Canadians
Neo is building what Canada's big banks won't: modern financial products that actually make your money work for you. We're a technology company, not a traditional bank, which means no legacy systems, no decades-old red tape, and no tolerance for “good enough.” In just a few years, we've built a multi-product platform from scratch, launched credit, savings, investing, and rewards that millions of Canadians use every day, and partnered with some of the biggest brands in the country. Our team is behind some of Canada's fastest-growing companies (like SkipTheDishes), and we're now taking on one of the largest, most broken industries in the country. If you're excited by the idea of rewriting the financial playbook, Neo might be your next move.
The Role
We're hiring a Head of Product to lead Lending at Neo, a portfolio that includes credit cards, loans, installments, advances, and the systems that power them. You'll drive both the consumer experience and the risk, underwriting, and servicing infrastructure that supports responsible, scalable credit across millions of Canadians. This is a senior leadership role: you"ll own the product strategy, the roadmap, the outcomes and the development of the product team delivering it.
This role is about setting a bold vision, building what doesn"t yet exist, and scaling what does. You'll lead a division of PMs and work alongside senior engineering, design, data, and operations leaders to solve complex problems with clarity and urgency. You'll be accountable for both the product and the people: hiring, mentoring, coaching, and shaping the next generation of product leaders at Neo.
We"re looking for someone who's scaled product teams, shipped high-impact products, and thrives in a hands-on, fast-changing environment. If you're excited to build the strategy and roll up your sleeves when needed, you'll be in the right place.
What You"ll Be Doing:
- Own the full-stack lending product portfolio, from customer-facing experiences (e.g. credit cards, loans, installments) to core systems for underwriting, credit risk, and repayment.
- Define and evolve the credit infrastructure that enables fast, compliant, and accurate lending decisions, including decision engines, data pipelines, and risk policy tooling.
- Lead initiatives to improve servicing, collections, and lifecycle management — ensuring a seamless and transparent experience for borrowers.
- Navigate complex regulatory and reporting requirements (e.g., credit bureau integrations, consumer disclosures) with scalable product solutions.
- Lead, grow, and mentor a team of high-performing product managers. You'll develop talent, shape team culture, and create the conditions for great work.
- Act as the cross-functional glue for your division, collaborating with senior leaders across engineering, design, data, ops, marketing, and executive leadership.
- Translate customer needs, business goals, and technical constraints into clear product strategies, decisions, and trade-offs.
Own the results. Your team's work will directly move core business metrics and customer impact and you'll hold yourself accountable for outcomes, not just output. - Elevate product quality and execution across your teams through strong systems, clear feedback, and day-to-day coaching.
- Champion a culture of speed, ownership, and learning. We move fast — but we don't cut corners.
- Represent product in strategic conversations with exec leadership, external partners, and investors.
Who We"re Looking For:
- 8–12+ years of product management experience, including 4+ years in a senior leadership role (e.g., leading other PMs or a product org).
- You've built and led product teams in high-growth environments, ideally with both 0→1 and scale experience.
- You're a strategic thinker who can move between long-term planning and in-the-weeds execution without missing a beat.
- You bring strong product judgment, clear systems thinking, and a bias toward action.
- You've led cross-functional workstreams that include technical complexity, ambiguous problems, and diverse stakeholder input.
- You care deeply about talent: hiring the right people, growing them fast, and building a healthy, high-performing team.
- You lead with influence, not just authority. You know how to rally people around a vision, and communicate clearly up, down, and sideways.
- You're comfortable making bold bets and adapting quickly when the facts change.
- Domain experience in lending, banking or Fintech is a strong asset, but as important is your ability to ramp fast and think like an owner.
