Position Purpose
As a Cardiac Sonographer, you will play a vital role in supporting cardiovascular health through the performance of transthoracic echocardiograms and other non-invasive cardiac tests. You’ll work directly with providers and the broader care team to ensure high-quality imaging and timely diagnostics in a compassionate and professional manner.
Essential Functions

Perform transthoracic echocardiograms (TTE) and other non-invasive cardiac testing as ordered

Operate ultrasound equipment effectively and safely in accordance with department protocols

Evaluate sonograms and acquire optimal diagnostic images

Integrate diagnostic data with patient history, lab results, and clinical status

Communicate clearly with patients, families, and care providers

Document imaging studies and patient interactions accurately and in a timely manner

Maintain a clean, organized, and well-functioning imaging workspace

Provide imaging services to patients across all age groups, from newborn to geriatric
Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography or Cardiovascular Technology program

ARDMS certification in cardiac sonography (or eligibility / required)

BLS/CPR certification (required)

Experience with pediatric (preferred)

Ability to work independently and adapt in a fast-paced environment

Proficient in acquiring and interpreting high-quality sonographic images

Strong interpersonal skills and ability to provide compassionate, patient-centered care
