POSITION PURPOSE
The Accounting Assistant position is responsible for providing administrative and clerical support to the Finance team, including maintaining financial records and assisting with financial reporting. Key responsibilities include bookkeeping, data entry and managing financial records.
MINIMUM MANDATORY QUALIFICATIONS
Experience:
- Minimum one (1) year of experience in an office environment.
Education:
- Associate’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Mandatory Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other Qualifications:
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously and follow through on issues in a timely manner.
- Well-organized, efficient task management and attention to detail skills.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Must have the ability to interact with staff (at all levels) in a fast-paced environment, sometimes under pressure, remaining calm, flexible, proactive, resourceful and efficient, with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Strong problem-solving skills.
- Excellent proficiency in computer software and applications associated with a business environment, including Microsoft Office.
- A record of satisfactory performance in all prior and current employment as evidenced by positive employment references from previous and current employers.
