Director of Finance

POSITION PURPOSE
The Director of Finance position is responsible for the direct management of the General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Payroll and Financial reporting systems. Will manage the annual financial audit and financial operations review. Performs supervisory duties including hiring, training, evaluating and the day-to-day supervision of the Finance Department staff.
MINIMUM MANDATORY QUALIFICATIONS
Experience:
- Minimum ten (10) years of experience in accounting, including a minimum of four (4) years management responsibilities.
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Four (4) years of related experience may be considered in lieu of the degree in addition to the experience stated above.
Mandatory Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other Qualifications:
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously and follow through on issues in a timely manner.
- Well-organized, efficient task management and attention to detail skills.
- Excellent customer service skills and ability to interface with executive-level leaders across the organization.
- Must have the ability to interact with staff (at all levels) in a fast-paced environment, sometimes under pressure, remaining calm, flexible, proactive, resourceful and efficient, with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Strong problem-solving skills.
- Excellent proficiency in computer software and applications (specifically graphs) associated with a business environment, including Microsoft Office (specifically, Excel and PowerPoint).
- A record of satisfactory performance in all prior and current employment as evidenced by positive employment references from previous and current employers.
