Citizens Memorial Hospital (CMH) in Bolivar, MO is hiring a Sitter to provide exceptional care for our patients in our Emergency Department. CMH is made up of 34 primary and specialty clinics, 6 Long-Term Care facilities and 1 residential care facility. About the department: The Emergency Department at CMH is a 12-bed unit with three designated trauma beds, designated OB/GYN, cardiac and obstetric rooms and eight medical beds. We serve as the closest hospital for Polk County and six surrounding counties in our service area.
A typical day includes: Performing sitter duties under the direction of licensed nursing personnel, utilizing equipment, supplies, and procedures appropriate to the ages of the patients served including infant, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient populations for all subsequent duties.
- Assisting with patient observation by maintaining constant line of sight monitoring, and recording and reporting findings as appropriate.
- Ensures the patient room remains free of items that create a risk to the patient's well- being.
- Monitors all items going into the room for safety hazards and ensures those items come out of the room.
- Giving and receiving patient reports in an accurate and timely manner.
Job Requirements:
- Education: HS diploma
- Experience: No experience needed. We provide on the job training! It is a plus if you are certified as a nurse assistant.
- Skills: Good Communication Skills, Patience, Attention to detail, Flexibility, Intrapersonal Skills, Willing to learn and be a valuable person for the department.
- Licensure/Certification: N/A
- Physical: ability to work at a fast pace with about 90% of the day consists of walking/ standing.
The position is Part Time, Nights.
