Position Summary:
As an AI Automation Engineer within the AI Center of Excellence (CoE), this role combines hands-on workflow automation with cloud-based data engineering, working as the technical backbone of our automation initiatives. Working in collaboration with AI Business Automation Analysts, Data Engineer, and Cloud Engineers, the role is responsible for the design and build of agentic workflows using AI orchestration tools and services (n8n, OpenAI, MCP Servers, Microsoft Azure / AWS AI tools, etc), while also leveraging data pipelines that power AI-enabled business solutions. You will work cross-functionally to deliver the requirements of HR, Finance, Legal, and subsidiary business functions to streamline operations and unlock insights through data, automation, and AI.
What you will be doing:
The scope of this role includes, but is not limited to:
- Design, develop, deploy, and maintain automated workflows using AI Orchestration engines or greenfield AI solutions developed in-house.
- Integrate AI services (e.g., Azure OpenAI, cognitive services, ML models) into automation flows and data processes.
- Create scalable connectors and reusable integrations for APIs, databases, and SaaS platforms, leveraging secure MCP server integrations, where appropriate.
- Leverage data pipelines using tools such as Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Snowflake, and Fivetran.
- Collaborate with Business Analysts, Cloud Engineers, and Business Stakeholders to turn business requirements into working solutions.
- Ensure all solutions comply with security, privacy, and cloud architecture standards.
- Support testing, debugging, documentation, and knowledge transfer to internal teams.
- The position is expected to analyse complex problems and develop solutions that are aligned with best practice and compliant with industry standards.
You have:
- 3–5+ years of experience in automation, integration, or data engineering roles.
- Hands-on experience with OpenAI LLMs, ChatGPT, n8n, and RPA solutions such as UiPath or Microsoft Power Automate (preferred).
- Experience working with Snowflake or similar cloud data warehouses / datalakes.
- Strong understanding of API integration, webhooks, REST/JSON, and data transformation.
- Working knowledge of Python, Javascript, Docker, CI/CD, JSON, PostgreSQL, and MySQL.
- Familiarity with AI and ML services, particularly those available in Azure and AWS
- Experience deploying and maintaining solutions in a secure Azure cloud environment
- Version control systems such as GitHub.
- Ability to work across business and technical teams in an agile, collaborative manner.
