We are seeking a skilled and motivated Health & Safety Scientist with 2-5 years of experience to support a growing portfolio of environmental, health, and safety (EHS) across private and public contracts supporting both general industry and construction settings. This role will focus on planning and executing occupational health assessments, supporting compliance efforts, and preparing high-quality deliverables across a range of EHS topics.
The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in industrial hygiene principles and practices, solid working knowledge of OSHA and ACGIH standards, and a desire to grow technically and professionally in a dynamic, client-facing environment.
What you'll do
- Conduct EHS assessments, including personal and area air sampling, noise monitoring, and indoor environmental quality (IEQ) assessments
- Assist with exposure assessments and data interpretation for chemical, physical, and biological agents
- Support the development of exposure control strategies and written health and safety programs
- Perform regulatory compliance audits under OSHA and other relevant standards
- Assist with exposure modeling, data visualization, and report preparation
- Participate in client meetings and assist in maintaining strong client communication and service delivery
- Collaborate across teams on integrated environmental, engineering, and EHS projects
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, toxicology/pharmacology, or related field
- 2-5 years of relevant industrial hygiene or occupational health experience
- Strong working knowledge of OSHA, ACGIH, NIOSH, and related standards
- Experience with common sampling and monitoring methods and equipment
- Excellent attention to detail and strong written/verbal communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in field and office settings
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 50% as project needs dictate
Preferred Qualifications
- Pursuit of Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) designation or CIH eligibility
- Familiarity with exposure modeling and data platforms or tools
- Experience with government contracts or large-scale industrial clients
