Patient Safety Officer

The Patient Safety Officer (PSO) is responsible for the development, coordination, and oversight of the Golden Valley Memorial Healthcare (GMVH) patient safety program. In coordination with the Executive Director of Quality and Accreditation, the PSO will create the strategic direction of the program, providing leadership in developing a culture of safety and zero preventable harm. The PSO will identify opportunities and initiatives to enhance patient safety throughout the organization, including gathering data detailing patient-related errors; conducting analyses detailing causes of errors; and coordinating patient safety data management for reporting out to the organization. The PSO develops strategic and operational plans that build upon the current patient safety program to assure GVMH continues to be innovative in its approaches to patient safety a reducing preventable harm.
Required:
Bachelor's degree
MO RN license in good standing
1-3 years of relative experience
