POSITION STANDARDS

- Bachelor's Degree in Health Care Administration, Business Administration, Financial Management, Health Economics, or related field
- Demonstrated experience with collecting and analyzing data to be used to gauge progress toward goals for quality measures, operational performance and financial performance.
- Knowledge of Statistical Process Control and other data analytic methodologies.
- Knowledge of financial forecasting, budgeting, and analysis.
- Knowledge of healthcare quality measurement and analysis.
- Working knowledge of quality improvement methodologies. Lean Six sigma knowledge / Green Belt / Black Belt a plus.
- Working knowledge of project management methodologies.
- Demonstrated experience reporting financial performance and creating financial models to guide decision making.
- Proficient in spreadsheets, databases, MS Office and financial software applications
- Experience in other programming languages (XML, MEL, etc.) a plus
- Familiarity with EPIC/eDH a plus
- Ability to take initiative, manage multiple tasks simultaneously and to meet established deadlines.
- Proven ability to work with teams.
- Demonstrated effective oral and written communication skills required.
- 2 years of relevant work experience or equivalent Health Care experience

Position Objective
-
The Business Manager- Outpatient Provider Services is responsible for the operational, financial, and quality measures analysis to support work processes and strategic initiatives within the Multi-Specialty Clinic (MSC). Specifically responsible for extracting and organizing disparate datasets, producing user-friendly reports, assisting in performing strategic level analysis, and researching local and national trends to inform service line development and management. Also responsible for leading, facilitating or project managing specific initiatives as needed within the MSC as they relate to operational, financial or quality improvement efforts.

Performance Expectation
- Act as an expert resource to the MSC regarding data abstraction and analysis processes for efficiency and optimization purposes
- Validate & model data for quality improvement, operational analysis, and strategic analysis
- Actively supports the Multi-Specialty Clinic leadership and collaborates with the Finance Department to update and maintain service line profit and loss statements (P&L)
- Research local, regional and national trends to inform service line development and management
- Utilize service line P&Ls and knowledge of local/national trends to inform strategic designs regarding maintaining, growing, and adding service lines
- Prepare and disseminate reports, publications, and targeted analyses to stakeholders to support their efforts to provide quality care to the Multi-Specialty Clinic patients
- Act as project manager for financial and operational analysis activities related to adding new service lines, new procedures/treatments/visit types in an existing service line, and new providers to the MSC.
- Coordinate with Human Resources, Medical Staff Office, and MSC Leadership to facilitate the contracting, credentialing, privileging, insurance enrollment and on-boarding activities for providers.
- Working collaboratively with the Multi-Specialty Clinic leadership, establish volume, cost and profitability targets annually and monitor performance as part of the budget cycle and financial performance analysis efforts.
- Evaluate on-going effectiveness and efficiency of processes, engage in process redesign and organizational structure redesign as needed in collaboration with MSC leadership.
- Participate in strategic analysis activities as requested to assist in decision making / financial planning.
