About the Role:
The Global Director, Technology Operations and Transformation, serves as the operational right hand to the CTO. translating vision into execution and enabling world-class service delivery. This senior leader is responsible for aligning people, processes, and priorities to accelerate 3E’s journey toward a high-performing, AI-first technology organization. As a cross-functional integrator, the Director ensures that vision translates into velocity by embedding and outwardly partnering and communicating operational discipline, communication, and performance metrics in the fabric of global technology delivery.
With a focus on governance, team effectiveness, and measurable results, this leader orchestrates enterprise technology transformation across systems, teams, and ways of working. They will be instrumental in facilitating agile, lean, and AI-enabled practices across the Technology function while fostering a people and values-led team culture.
Location: We are looking for candidates based in the Eastern Time Zone (EST) to align with key collaborators and business operations.
What You'll Do
- Technology Operations & Service Management: Lead IT service delivery globally, with an emphasis on high performance, reliability, and seamless colleague experience.
- Operational Leadership: Lead the day-to-day rhythm of the Technology function—driving planning, prioritization, performance reporting, and alignment with enterprise objectives for the Technology organization.
- Financial Planning: Working in partnership with the Finance function, support budgeting, financial analysis, and financial planning for the Technology organization to ensure efficient allocation of resources and alignment with department and enterprise goals.
- AI-First Transformation: Champion the transition to an AI-enabled operating model where AI/ML tools augment decision-making, automate routine work, and enable smarter service delivery across Technology and business teams.
- Execution & Delivery Management: Own the Technology transformation roadmap, communication, and coordination; drive successful execution of modernization, platform rationalization, and foundational data initiatives in partnership with Product.
- Agile Program Governance: Help lead portfolio planning and delivery through agile practices, OKRs, lean, and Flow metrics (e.g., cycle time, throughput, velocity). Continue to operationalize existing KPIs in partnership with Technology leaders and via continuous feedback loops. In partnership with Product Management, ensure the voice of the customer is incorporated into all development processes and priorities.
- Process Optimization: Systematize delivery through operational frameworks, SOPs, and governance models that enhance scale, quality, and delivery consistency.
- Cross-Functional Partnership: Serve as a connective tissue between Technology and functions, including Product, Content, Support, HR, Finance, and Legal, with an emphasis on alignment and collaboration that drives organizational systems and outcomes.
- Team Leadership & Development: Continue to grow and lead a global team across Technology functions, Scrum leadership, and IT Infrastructure. Foster a psychologically strong, performance-driven team environment.
- Communication & Change Leadership: Act as a central voice of Technology transformation, ensuring internal stakeholders are informed, engaged, and aligned throughout change efforts.
What Makes You a Great Fit
- Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, or a Computer Science-related field. MBA or relevant Master’s preferred.
- 15+ years in IT operations, strategy, or transformation, with at least 10 years leading complex global initiatives.
- Strong experience in agile delivery, lean operations, and performance management (e.g., OKRs, cycle time, flow efficiency, velocity).
- Proven success in transforming technology teams into high-performing agile organizations through evaluation, upskilling, manager enablement, cross-company communication, coordination, change management, and adoption of modern metrics and dashboards.
- Background in implementing enterprise-wide programs with clear outcomes in SaaS, RegTech, information services, or digital product organizations.
- Executive-level communication skills with the ability to influence across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to scale global teams and embed operational discipline across a globally distributed organization, including material international on-site experience.
- Preferred:
- Experience leading AI-enablement programs, including practical applications of AI/ML in enterprise environments.
- Familiarity with IT service management (ITIL), DevOps, and cloud-native architecture frameworks and modernization efforts.
- Understanding of regulatory compliance and security controls in global operations (e.g., GDPR, ISO 27001, SOC 2).
- Experience managing digital transformation initiatives in regulated industries or mission-critical business contexts.
Pay Transparency
The anticipated starting salary range for this position is $200,000 per year plus incentives.
In addition to the base salary, certain roles may qualify for a performance-based incentive and/or equity, with eligibility depending on the position. These rewards are based on a combination of company performance and individual achievements.
The final offer will depend on several factors, including the successful candidate’s skills, depth of work experience, location, and relevant licenses/ qualifications. Each offer is determined based on individual strengths and relevant business considerations.
