This part time position works various shifts including evenings, weekends and holidays.
A seasonal food service management job, this position requires basic management skills developed through on-the-job experience and training. Standard practice allows employee to proceed alone on most duties with work results checked through normal administrative process.
- Directs food service personnel in performance of job duties and responsibilities. Assigns tasks, provides direction and ensures quality food is served in a prompt, courteous manner. Trains and schedules staff, and ensures work rules such as dress and personal hygiene requirements are being followed. Ensures food and beverage preparation requirements are met to maintain quality of service and food products to customers. Handles customer complaints.
- Monitors food inventory levels and orders inventory needs. Conducts scheduled inventory counts. Tracks and controls food waste.
- Conducts cash control procedures. Follows up on collecting shortages. Goes to bank to obtain appropriate change for day’s business.
- Ensures cleanliness and sanitary conditions of food service facility and other work areas. Ensures daily cleaning chart is completed and followed.
- Prevents alcohol abuse by customers and handles intoxicated patrons according to procedures established by Certified Alcohol Awareness program.
- Upholds or exceeds established Food and Labor Cost Percentage Pars. Administers and executes duties consistent with overall operations of assigned facility.
QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma or GED required with at least two years food service experience with prior supervisory experience. At least 21 years of age.
Ability to document identity and employment eligibility within three (3) days of original appointment as a condition of employment in compliance with Immigration Reform and Control Act requirements.
LICENSE OF CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
ServSafe Food and TIPS Alcohol Service Certification within 1 year of employment.
State Motor Vehicle Operator’s License that meets Great Parks of Hamilton County’s current carrier guidelines.
