OBJECTIVE AND POSITION SUMMARY
We are hiring an on-call Client Support Specialist to work varied hours as needed for our Corazón program. The Client Support Specialist is responsible for the daily operations of the transitional living facility, including oversight of the safety and well-being of residents in the Corazón transitional living facility.
CPLC Corazón is a client-centered center with bilingual staff where all cultures are welcome and celebrated. We have been providing Substance Abuse treatment since 1983, offering a variety of treatment modalities.
Corazón features a range of substance abuse services, including group, individual, family, and couples therapy, in addition to nightly community 12-step support groups. Our 65-bed, ADA-compliant residential facility provides all meals, an on-site laundry facility free of charge, a basketball court, and a garden. We offer holistic health techniques including yoga, tai chi, chi gong, and sweat lodge.
Accountability: Reports to and is supervised directly by the Program Director and does receive shift oversight from the Lead Client Support Specialist. Employee is accountable for understanding and complying with CPLC policies and procedures.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES
Education/Background
Must meet one of the criteria below for a Behavioral Health Technician:
- Master's degree or bachelor's degree in a field related to behavioral health;
- Registered nurse;
- Physician assistant who is not working as a medical practitioner;
- Bachelor's degree and at least one year of full-time behavioral health work experience;
- Associate's degree and at least two years of full-time behavioral health work experience;
- High school diploma or high school equivalency diploma and credit hours of post-high school education in a field related to behavioral health completed no more than four years before the date the individual begins providing behavioral health services and two years of full-time behavioral health work experience or four years of full time behavioral health work experience;
- Licensed as a practical nurse, according to A.R.S. Title 32, Chapter 15, with at least two years of full-time behavioral health work experience.
Required Competencies
- Experience working in a residential setting.
- Knowledge of behavioral health systems and community resources.
- Ability to work with unique populations such as seriously mentally ill, homeless, and/or justice-connected men.
- Demonstrated reliability, responsibility, and professionalism.
- Capable of dealing with crisis situations.
- Must be able to pass a drug test upon hire and adhere to the CPLC chemical use policy.
- Must have or obtain within 30 days of hire:
- CPR/First Aid Certification
- CPI certification
- AZ Fingerprint Clearance Card
- current TB test
- Possess an Arizona Driver’s license, vehicle insurance and ability to be covered under CPLC’s Policy.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
