This role operates on a hybrid model, with a mix of remote work and in-office collaboration at our Craiova, Romania location, working in office 1-3 days per week.
Where do you fit?
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Associate Software Engineer to join our SugarCRM development team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their career to grow their skills in a collaborative, global environment. You will assist in customizing SugarCRM to meet client requirements, learn from experienced developers, and gradually take on more complex tasks as you gain experience.
Impact you will make in the role:
- Assist in developing and maintaining customizations for SugarCRM (modules, logic hooks, workflows).
- Support senior developers by implementing small features, bug fixes, and configuration tasks.
- Help test and debug existing functionality to ensure quality and performance.
- Follow coding standards, guidelines, and best practices as defined by the team.
- Participate in code reviews and team meetings to improve technical skills.
- Write basic technical documentation as needed for developed features.
- Learn and grow through mentorship, training, and hands-on project work.
What you will bring:
- 0-3 years of experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience.
- Familiarity with PHP, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and MySQL.
- Basic understanding of web development concepts (e.g., MVC, REST APIs).
- Eagerness to learn.
- Ability to follow technical instructions and complete assigned tasks on time.
- Good English communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Team player with a collaborative attitude and growth mindset.
Nice to have:
- Internship or coursework experience with CRM systems, ideally SugarCRM.
- Any hands-on project experience (university projects, internships, freelance work).
- Exposure to Git or version control systems.
- Familiarity with Linux command line and basic server operations.
- Experience with basic debugging tools (browser dev tools, error logs).
Expected salary range, depending on experience. Range shown is NET/month.
