Responsible for assisting in the creation and development of brand content for marketing materials and communications, including system promotions, regional promotions, tests and new store openings (NSOs), coordinating across internal teams and agency partners to maintain consistency and drive executional excellence and taking initiative to improve processes and support achievement of business objectives.
KEY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Promotional Campaign Content Execution
Supports the planning and development of promotional campaign content, including product launches, limited-time offers, NSO's, regional and national marketing programs.
Manages timelines, facilitates feedback and oversees final approvals.
Reviews content to ensure all communications adhere to brand guidelines, deliver on the brief and drive brand consistency.
Leads marketing communication development for new product operations testing, menu testing, and other non-system promotional tests, and ensures project stays within budget and successfully achieves deadlines.
Digital Marketing Oversight
Works with media partners to determine digital assets needed for all promos and manage execution with agency.
Assists in development of Paid Digital Assets, Website Assets & Updates, Email Marketing, SMS/MMS and App.
Social Media & Content Creation
Manages internal and external resources to ensure timely production and deployment of all social creative assets, paid and organic.
Assists in development of social media content calendar and manages execution from start to finish in coordination with agency teams.
Reviews content produced by agency, provides feedback and manages revisions for final approval.
Monitors and tracks campaign performance metrics, including acquisition, engagement, and brand sentiment.
Creative and Asset Management
Coordinates photo and video shoots, including shot list development, on-site support, and asset approvals.
Maintains and organizes asset libraries, ensuring up-to-date content is available for internal and agency use.
Works with calendar and culinary teams to obtain or produce photography for test programs and research as needed.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Establishes solid relationships internally and with agency partners and acts as a liaison between Marketing, Operations, Culinary, and other key departments to ensure alignment and on-time execution of marketing campaigns.
Partners with internal Guest Relations and external PR agencies to ensure coordinated responses for guest-facing issues.
Supports alignment between brand team and other marketing department functions through effective communication of project status and timelines.
Performs other related duties, tasks and responsibilities as required, assigned and directed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, or equivalent experience in Advertising or related field.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years marketing, design, project management and/or coordinating advertising campaigns.
Experience must include a strong understanding of marketing principles, strategy development and the franchise model.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:
Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
Requires thorough knowledge of marketing principles and concepts to effectively manage marketing projects

Detail Oriented, Self Starter, Fast Learner and Problem solver
Familiarity with social and digital marketing platforms, tools, and best practices including but not limited to TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, threads, X and SnapChat, LinkedIn and Youtube
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively cross-functional and with all levels of internal and external contacts
Effective project management, organizational and presentation skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
Likes fast paced environment and juggling multiple projects
Requires general understanding of business principles beyond marketing, including strategy development, finance, accounting and operations
Must be proficient with Microsoft Office 365 (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook), and Adobe Creative Suite, including Illustrator and Photoshop and other video editing platforms
Demonstrates integrity and ethical behavior
Physical Requirements: Ability to speak/hear clearly in person and on the telephone. Ability to operate a personal computer.
Travel required to local LA photo shoots.

The range for this position is $72,600 - $101,600 and is based on an employee located at our Del Taco corporate headquarters in Lake Forest, CA. If the candidate is hired in a different city to work remote, we may apply a geographic pay differential based on the cost of labor in the market in which the employee resides.
