About The Role:
We are searching for a self-starting Human Resources Manager who enjoys developing the human resources strategic direction coupled with doing the work to ensure an outstanding employee experience.
What You"ll Get To Do:
- Building rapport with all employees.
- Gathering input from employees and leadership to better understand their employment experience and Human Resources needs.
- Creating an overall human resources strategy that supports a unified organization through recruiting, onboarding, performance appraisal, policies, training & development, and compensation administration.
- Implementing mutually agreed upon initiatives, monitoring key performance indicators, and making recommendations to adjust the course of action as needed.
- Hearing and resolving employee complaints and concerns
- Identifying complimentary areas of knowledge, skills, and abilities and facilitating knowledge sharing and training.
- Facilitating discussions with leaders regarding organization structure including assisting leaders with workflow analysis, identifying employment levels and staff change requests.
- Develop and execute a staffing strategy to include best practices for hiring, talent management, and employee retention
- Lead best practices to ensure legal compliance and prepare, update, recommend, implement HR policies and procedures are compliant
- Executing administration of HR programs including but not limited to pay structure, benefits, and leaves, disciplinary matters, disputes and investigations, performance management, productivity, recognition and morale, and training and development
- Partner with leadership to implement, review, and monitor improvements in the performance appraisal process
- Process payroll for the organization and serve as point of contact for payroll related questions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or organizational development or equivalent experience is preferred; experience in lieu of degree will be considered.
- PHR or SHRM-CP is preferred
- 5+ years of human resource management experience in a generalist role is required
- Previous experience processing payroll and administering benefits is required.
- Previous experience in the software development industry is preferred
- Experience building an engaged culture with a multi-state workforce is preferred
- Experience in a hands-on HR role is required.

- Ability to work as a solo HR practitioner is required.
- Ability to listen effectively and address situations with a high level of emotional intelligence, solid judgement, and confidentiality is required.
- Ability to effectively prioritize, work independently, work on many matters simultaneously, and demonstrate organizational skills is required.
- Ability to study HR trends and/or address new and unique HR situations is required. Someone who is innovative in these efforts is preferred.
- Ability to effectively build rapport and collaborate with all employees, identify the best path forward, make recommendations and move forward with implementation is required.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in employment law, compensation, organizational planning, recruitment, organizational development, employee relations, benefits and pay administration, employee engagement, and employee development is required.
- Excellent communication skills, including listening, writing, and speaking are required.
- Outstanding interpersonal relationship building and employee coaching skills are required.
- Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Office is required.
