Key Responsibilities:
- Perform welding tasks using various techniques such as MIG, TIG, and arc welding.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine project requirements.
- Inspect and assess completed welds for quality and compliance with industry standards.
- Maintain equipment and tools in good working condition, performing minor repairs as needed.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient workflow and project completion.
- Follow safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Assist in the training of junior welders and apprentices as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a welding apprenticeship preferred.
- Proven experience as a welder, with a strong portfolio of work.
- Certification in welding (e.g., AWS, ASME) is a plus.
- Familiarity with welding machinery and tools.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to lift heavy materials and work in various environmental conditions.
