The Guest Navigator will serve as the first point of contact for patients and other guests entering the MHP Medical Center through the Main Entrance (Entrance 2) and Health Pavilion (Entrance 3). Navigators will create a first impression for all guests that instills complete confidence in MHP's ability to meet their needs.? They will strive to eliminate the anxiety that the facility may engender, overcoming its apparent size and complexity for those who enter. In addition, Navigators will appropriately check-in pre-registered patients as an initial demonstration of MHP's care and service and will coordinate with Patient Access Services to ensure patients needing additional assistance receive it in a timely and fair manner.? Finally, the Navigator will position receiving units for a successful patient encounter through timely communication, comfortable patient transport, and a confident handoff.

Professional & Technical Skills

Healthcare experience preferred.? Proficient with desktop, laptop, and tablet style computer/electronic devices.? Team-oriented, working well with other team members and striving for cohesion in spite of natural differences in personality and work style.? Servant-minded, seeking to assist patients and guests with tenacity and humility.?

Education

Associate's Degree strongly desired, Bachelor's Degree preferred; however job-related experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.

Must adhere to department established attire guidelines. Available to work weekends and evenings.
