JOB SUMMARY:
The Front Office Resource/Lead provides operational support to the Ridgecrest Regional Health Clinic (RHC) Director. The Front Office Resource/Lead is a position for a highly organized team member with excellent communication skills, who is able to guide and motivate staff to achieve optimal performance for our Clinic Director. Front Office Resource/Lead will effectively and efficiently manage and provide direction to the front office staff in the RHC in its Clinic locations on the Ridgecrest Regional Hospital campus, in Trona and at future Clinic locations.
The Front Office Resource/Lead will oversee front office staff to ensure procedures and tasks are completed correctly and in accordance with Ridgecrest RHC standards with specific focus on customer service and patient flow. They will assist with selection and provide training, orientation and remediation of RHC front office staff. The Front Office Resource/Lead will be responsible for day to day oversight of front office duties and functions including: policy and procedure; patient scheduling and registration; monitoring document imaging and medical record completion; processing billing information; charge entry, payment posting, batch balancing and cash reconciliation/balancing as determined by the Clinic Director to meet the needs of the Clinic and the Hospital.
The Front Office Resource/Lead will also oversee staff scheduling and monitoring attendance.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. A minimum of five years supervisory and patient access, third party payer, CPT and ICD-10 experience.
2. Skill in establishing and maintaining relationships with patients, staff and the public.
3. Knowledge and understanding of teamwork and team orientation. Skill in accomplishing tasks through cooperation with peers.
4. Knowledge of registration, scheduling, cashiering and coding functions to ensure efficiency and total quality patient care.
5. Knowledge of areas of Medical Terminology and insurance plans, and office cash payment policies and procedures.
6. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
7. Knowledge of organizational policies, regulations and procedures, both business and administrative.
8. Must possess strong problem solving skills.
9. Ability to read and write simple to complex correspondence.
10.Proficiency with the Microsoft Suite including Word, Excel and Outlook.
11.eMD's and McKesson Paragon experience required.
