Position Summary
We are seeking a qualified Behavioral Health Therapist to join our expanding Behavioral Health team. This role is responsible for providing direct clinical services—including assessment, diagnosis, and psychotherapy—to individuals, families, and groups experiencing mental health and/or substance-use challenges.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough psychosocial assessments to determine patient needs and formulate treatment plans.
- Deliver evidence-based therapeutic services, including individual, group, and family therapy.
- Address a wide range of behavioral health issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, substance abuse, thought disorders, and autism spectrum disorders.
- Provide crisis intervention services and coordinate care in emergency situations.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, case managers, and other members of the care team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record in compliance with hospital policies and legal standards.
- Serve as a liaison to community agencies and assist with referrals and resource coordination.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, quality improvement initiatives, and professional development activities.
Qualifications
Education:
- Master’s degree in social work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field required.
Licensure (must hold one of the following):
- Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) preferred
- Licensed Graduate Social Worker (LGSW)
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
- Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
- Provisionally Licensed Professional Counselor (PLPC)
Experience:
- Experience in behavioral health, case management, or care coordination preferred.
- Familiarity with rural healthcare settings is a plus.
