About the role
The Plant Manager at Barron Lighting Group is responsible for the leadership and oversight of all warehousing and production functions across the organization. This role ensures the timely and accurate assembly, packaging, storage, and distribution of products while maintaining high standards for safety, quality, and efficiency. The ideal candidate will provide hands-on leadership to both warehouse and production teams, drive process improvements, and coordinate closely with cross-functional departments to achieve company objectives. This position is accountable for achieving operational excellence in inventory control, logistics, manufacturing output, and personnel performance, and will play a critical role in enhancing productivity and customer satisfaction.
What you'll do
Oversee daily operations of warehouse and production departments. Lead and develop teams to meet safety, quality, delivery, and efficiency standards. Establish and monitor KPI’s to meet organizational objectives. | 30% |
Collaborate with all internal departments to align production and warehouse activities with business needs. | 25% |
Monitor and maintain inventory accuracy through audits, cycle counts, reconciliation, and ERP system data integrity. | 15% |
Evaluate and improve workflows, layouts, and processes for cost reduction, order accuracy, and operational efficiency. | 10% |
Manage and maintain equipment, tools, and materials necessary for production and warehouse functions. | 10% |
Lead implementation of technology solutions for production tracking and inventory management. | 5% |
Monitor and maintain appropriate inventory and stock levels at all outside warehouse locations to ensure product availability, minimize shortages, and support efficient order fulfillment. | 5% |

Supervisory Responsibilities
• Direct supervision of production and warehouse teams including supervisors, leads, material handlers, and warehouse associates.
• Responsible for hiring, onboarding, training, and performance management.
• Establish department goals, KPIs, and productivity targets.
• Manage daily work schedules and staffing plans to ensure fulfillment and production goals are met.
• Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
• High school diploma, or equivalent required; degree in related field preferred.
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience in production and warehouse operations, with at least two (2) years in a leadership role.
• Advanced knowledge of ERP systems and inventory/production tracking tools (e.g., Sage MAS500).
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and data analysis for performance reporting.
• Experience implementing lean manufacturing or 5S principles preferred
