As we continue to grow and scale our operations team at PROCEPT, we have an excellent opportunity for a new Senior Manufacturing Engineer who can bring their creativity, experiences, and project skills to the company at this key time in our growth. As a Senior Manufacturing Engineer, you will work with R&D, process development, and operations teams to bring innovative ideas to life and ensure they meet high standards. You'll optimize processes, solve production issues, and drive continuous improvement, contributing to a culture of excellence. Your role will be pivotal in advancing healthcare, supporting company growth, and positively impacting patients' lives worldwide. Join our team and help develop the AQUABEAM Robotic System, the first autonomous tissue removal robot for treating benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH).

What Your Day-To-Day Will Involve:
- Take ownership of engineering support on the CE manufacturing floor to resolve issues impacting production fulfillment (e.g., troubleshoot existing manufacturing processes, fixtures, tooling, or equipment)
- Responsible for specifications, implementation and process improvements for processes including welding, bonding, press fit and general assembly of both mechanical and electrical assemblies, etc.
- Lead root cause investigations related to manufacturing process failures.
- Drive continuous improvement projects to enhance yield, consistency, performance, capacity, etc. of equipment and processes.
- Communicate business and technical needs, status, results, and observations to operating, technical and business teams.
- Work with R&D and Process Development teams to transfer new products into commercial manufacturing, both in-house and at contract manufacturer.
- Identify, define, and execute new technical projects that improve manufacturing processes – this will include developing the scale, scope, and ROI.
- Design, build or procure improved fixtures, tooling, or equipment to increase quality, reliability, capacity, and yield.
- Ensure Capital Equipment (CE) manufacturing area is well maintained, safe, and provides a suitable work environment for assembly operations.
- Write test protocols, perform tests to fully characterize new equipment or processes utilizing DOE methodology or other statistically sound methods, then write completion reports.
- Perform process capability assessments and establish methods to control process output.
- Create process validation protocols, conduct process optimization studies, conduct process verifications and validations, and generate verification and validation reports.
- Write and perform IQ's, OQ's and PQ's when introducing new or changing existing manufacturing equipment.
- Provide engineering support to outside suppliers and contract manufacturers, ensuring quality and production targets are met.
- Train, develop, solicit feedback, and/or provide work direction to operators and technicians.
- May require up to 10% travel, domestic and international.
- Maintain trained status for, and comply with, all relevant aspects of the PROCEPT BioRobotics Quality Management System to ensure product and support regulatory compliance.
- Understand and adhere to the PROCEPT BioRobotics’ Quality and EHS policies.
The Qualifications We Need You to Possess
- BS in an Engineering degree such as Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electromechanical or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in electromechanical engineering in a manufacturing environment such as medical device capital Equipment, Semiconductor, Automotive, Aerospace etc.
- Hands on experience with complex electromechanical capital equipment required.
- Expert understanding of mechanics of assembling mechanical, electronic & electrical components.
- Extensive experience with root cause analysis and problem solving for both technical and process issues.
- Ability to develop & optimize mfg. assembly processes with a deep understanding of all components involved in system integration.
- Knowledgeable in Electrical Engineering Debugging and Assembly Knowledge - Understanding on how to review Electrical schematics and wiring diagrams (connectors, crimping, general schematic reading for wiring, multimeter and general EE tool knowledge)
- Highly skilled in using data to identify trends, areas of focus, and outliers including data management. Presenting data, and making data driven decisions.
- Six sigma experience required. Green Belt and/or 5 years of experience with process controls & data analytics in Mfg. environment. (Black belt a plus)
- 2-3 years’ experience using data analytics/ trending software such as using Minitab / JMP for DOEs, SPC & distribution charts.
- Experience with scaling up manufacturing processes that includes mechanical and electrical assemblies.
The Qualifications We Would Like You to Possess
- Experience supporting capital equipment medical device manufacturing.
- Experience transferring highly technical projects to production in a cross functional environment.
- PMP or other project management certification
- Ability to work to a deadline and to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Software/Firmware/Hardware experience – in large Electromechanical systems (Robotics systems a bonus)
- Technical expertise in troubleshooting, debugging, reading error logs & basic ability to understanding in SW/FW programming languages.
- Six Sigma Black Belt certification & project executed with significant process improvement, cost saving or quality improvement.
- Demonstrated experience implementing SPC & identifying CPPs & CQAs in Mfg. processes through testing & data gathering. Experience with Data analytics test method experience using t-tests, variability & Attribute charts a plus.
- Familiar with DFM/DFx - Evaluation of part design, material selection, dimensional specifications. manufacturing methods and ease of assembly to reduce part count, improve efficiency and lower cost.
- Experience working in a structured design process such as ISO9000 or FDA QSR, knowledge of regulatory approval process and requirements.
- Working knowledge of design control and cGMP requirements for medical device manufacturing per FDA QSR and ISO13485-2003 or ISO9001and EN46001.

For this role, the anticipated base pay range is $130,000-154,000 per year.
Plus, eligibility for a 15% annual bonus and equity/RSUs

PAY RANGE TRANSPARENCY
Procept is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The pay range(s) for this role represents a base salary range for non-commissionable roles or on-target earnings for commissionable roles. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, depth of experience, relevant certifications and training, and specific work location. Based on the factors above, Procept utilizes the full width of the range. The total compensation package for this position may also include eligibility for annual performance bonus, equity, and the benefits listed above.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
