The Opportunity That Awaits You:
The person in this role will be responsible for supplier identification and selection for direct materials to support new and existing products in support of scale up, cost reduction, quality improvement, risk reduction etc. They will also be expected to identify & resolve supply issues that could impact new product timelines or production builds.
Must possess a strong sense of urgency and ability to deal with multiple priorities and timelines, while maintaining a strong sense of composure at all times.
What Your Day-To-Day Will Involve:
- Supplier identification and selection for all commodities required to manufacture Procept products. This includes metals, plastics, PCBAs, cables, and various electronic components.
- Negotiate Product Development Agreements and Supply Agreements with suppliers with a goal to secure Precept’s interests in quality, cost, delivery, capacity, and performance.
- Establish framework for supply chain risk management (Tier 1 and sub-tier) and drive projects to reduce supply continuity risk
- Support Bill of Materials (BOM) cost reduction targets through competitive sourcing techniques
- Develop ‘should-cost’ models as part of developing cost reduction strategies and in support of negotiations with suppliers.
- Lead resolution of issues related to delivery, supplier performance, quality, or cost.
- Represent Supply Chain at new product/project core team meetings and project phase-exit reviews
- Lead or participate in the continuous improvement of business processes and tools.
- Understand and adhere to the PROCEPT BioRobotics EHS Policy
- Maintain trained status for, and comply with, all relevant aspects of the PROCEPT BioRobotics Quality Management System to ensure product and support regulatory compliance
The Qualifications We Need You to Possess
- BS degree preferred or equivalent work experience
- 15+ years of working experience working in direct materials for new and existing products
- Experience with and a functional understanding of the manufacturing processes utilized by the suppliers of mechanical components (precision machining, sheet metal, plastic injection molding and other plastics processes) or contract manufacturing, OEM or electro-mechanical components (motors / sensors), or electronic components (PCA/PCBA/Optics, etc.,)
- Experienced with supplier negotiations and contract development
- Experience with make vs. buy decisions & ROI analysis
- High analytics capability and experience
- Excellent communication skills including verbal, email and presentations
- Working knowledge of buying, material planning, master scheduling, and forecasting.
- Certifications: CPSM, CPIM, and/or PMP is a plus.
- Demonstrates concern for precision and thoroughness
- Ability to proactively follow-up on areas of responsibility in a timely manner.
- Experience working with engineers and manufacturing personnel for prototype parts procurement, pilot activities and production launch of new products
- Ability to enjoy and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Significant computer experience including MS Office products and ERP systems. Strong MS-Excel skills.
- Read and have a basic understanding of engineering drawings.
- Basic understanding of data visualization tools (similar to Tableau, Power BI etc.,) is a plus
- Knowledge of Cost of Goods Sold (COGs) and cost levers.
- Build, coach and manage a high-performance team with a culture of continuous improvement.
- Maintain trained status for, and comply with, all relevant aspects of the PROCEPT BioRobotics Quality Management System to ensure product and support regulatory compliance.
- Understand and adhere to the PROCEPT BioRobotics Quality and EH&S policies.
- Perform other job duties as assigned

Supervisory Responsibilites
- Directly supervises employees in Logistics and Warehouse Operations. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Compensation also includes a 25% annual bonus and RSUs at offer!

For this role, the anticipated base pay range is $198,000-268,000 per year.

PAY RANGE TRANSPARENCY
Procept is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The pay range(s) for this role represents a base salary range for non-commissionable roles or on-target earnings for commissionable roles. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, depth of experience, relevant certifications and training, and specific work location. Based on the factors above, Procept utilizes the full width of the range. The total compensation package for this position may also include eligibility for annual performance bonus, equity, and the benefits listed above.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
We’ll provide you training for, and ask you to maintain trained status for, and comply with, all relevant aspects of the PROCEPT BioRobotics Quality Management System to ensure product and support regulatory compliance. We would also ask you to understand and adhere to the PROCEPT BioRobotics Quality & EHS policies.
