JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a results-driven Territory Manager to lead the expansion of our agency network in the Northeast as we launch sales in the region. This key role acts as the primary liaison between Orion180 and our agency partners, driving growth through strategic recruitment, onboarding, and relationship management.
As a Territory Manager, you will be responsible for identifying and recruiting new agency partners, delivering product training, and providing ongoing support to ensure our agents are equipped for success. You'll play a critical role in increasing market penetration and maintaining strong, long-term relationships with our agency network.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
To excel in this position, the candidate must perform the following responsibilities effectively. All team members are expected to uphold Orion180’s operational standards and maintain compliance with safety, security, and attendance expectations. Key responsibilities include:
- Assist the onboarding team in bringing new agencies onto our platform.
- Promote Orion180 products to independent agencies in the assigned territory to drive premium and policy growth.
- Build lasting relationships with decision-makers, producers, CSRs, and other support staff to ensure their continued trust and desire to sell our products.
- Leverage exceptional verbal and written communication skills to present in group settings, such as webinars or training sessions.
- Act as a subject matter expert by providing guidance on underwriting guidelines and procedures.
- Collaborate with customer service and underwriting teams to resolve agent and policyholder issues.
- Create and manage Excel reports to monitor performance goals and complete additional projects as needed.
- Stay informed about market trends, competitors, and regulatory developments, offering insights to improve strategies.
- Analyze territory performance to identify trends and collaborate with management on implementing necessary adjustments.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent skills and experience.
- 5+ years of experience in P&C insurance, mortgage industry sales, or business development.
- 440 or 220 license required or willingness to obtain within 60 days.
- Underwriting knowledge is preferred.
- Proven ability to build relationships through exceptional communication skills.
- Self-motivated with strong multitasking and time-management skills.
- Flexible schedule with availability for after-hours work and travel (up to 25%).
