About the role
This position offers a unique and exciting opportunity to lead our efforts in the launch of a new product line using a brand-new DMG-MORI NHX4000 CNC 4-axis horizontal milling machine and RPS pallet changing system. You will be provided with all the tools, freedom, and support required to standup and organize this product line. You will work closely with our entire team, including Engineering, Design, Production and Quality.
What you"ll do
- Work with DMG-Mori representatives on the use and organization of a brand new 4-axis horizontal mill and pallet change system.
- Maintain and organize an extensive tool holder and tool catalog to support current product lines.
- Lead the design and manufacturing of custom tombstone fixturing to support medium volume small part manufacturing.
- Setup, operate 4-axis CNC mill and pallet changing system to support prototype and production machining.
- Program CNC based on released engineering drawings, models, and verbal instructions.
- Create work instructions and setup sheets for each unique job.
- Train production staff on post processing and basic operator tasks.
- Responsible for working with tight tolerance parts in various materials (mainly 6061 Aluminum and 304 Stainless Steel)
Basic Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalency certificate.
- 5+ years of CNC Machinist experience.
- 5+ years of CNC Programming experience.
- 3+ years of Jig/Fixture design.
- 2+ year of 3D Design experience (Parametric modeling).
- Ability to read and interpret Engineering Drawings and GD&T symbols.
- Knowledge of hand tools, tooling, and inspection equipment used in machining processes.
- Experience maintaining an extensive tool/tool holder library including a digital library in CAM.
- Superb attention to detail and problem-solving capability.
- Candidates should have strong self-motivation and be highly organized.
Preferred Qualifications
- 7+ years of horizontal CNC Mill experience
- 7+ years of CNC Programming/CAM experience
- Extensive experience with DMG-Mori Mills, specifically with Fanuc controllers.
- Knowledgeable with pallet changing systems, ideally with horizontal mills.
- Experience with Fusion 360 CAM, Inventor CAM, or HSMWorks.
- Experience working under an AS9100 Quality Management System.
- Experience using an ERP system (JobBoss2 preferred).
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, ability to author detailed work instructions.
- Experience working with cutting tool suppliers, experience with custom ground tools a plus.
Compensation and Benefits
Your actual salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on your job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience. See below for the pay range for this position.
You will be eligible for medical, and dental coverage, access to a 401(k) retirement plan, and paid parental leave. You may also accrue 3 weeks of paid vacation and will be eligible for 10 or more paid holidays per year. Employees are eligible for sick leave in accordance with Washington"s Sick Leave policies.
The pay range for this role is:82,000 - 96,400 USD per year(Mukilteo, WA)
39.42 - 49.44 USD per hour(Mukilteo, WA)
