Are you an experienced, results-driven professional passionate about guiding clients through the mortgage process? We’re seeking a mortgage loan originator to join our Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) team. In this role, you’ll navigate clients from application to close, entirely over the phone and through digital platforms.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Manage Calls: Handle inbound and outbound calls with consumers looking to purchase or refinance residential properties.
- Pre-Qualify Borrowers: Analyze credit, income, assets, and other financial information to pre-qualify borrowers effectively.
- Present Loan Options:Present loan options that best fit the borrower’s needs while ensuring compliance with all regulatory and company policies.
- Maintain Pipeline: Keep an active pipeline of applicants and facilitate the progression of loans through the origination process, starting from the funding application.
- Provide Clear Communication: Offer clear and timely communication and guidance throughout the mortgage process to ensure a seamless borrower experience.
- Utilize Technology: Use CRM and Loan Origination Systems (LOS) to manage leads, document interactions, and track progress.
- Stay Informed: Keep current on mortgage products, rates, and industry trends to provide the best service.
- Meet Production Goals: Strive to meet or exceed monthly production goals and conversion metrics.
- Obtain Licenses: Demonstrate the ability to obtain additional state licenses as directed by Orion180.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
- Mortgage Sales Experience: Bring 4+ years of recent mortgage sales experience, preferably in a call center or direct-to-consumer (DTC) environment.
- Active NMLS License: Hold an active NMLS license or have the ability to obtain the necessary licensing by your start date (multi-state preferred), with a willingness to assist in obtaining additional state licenses in the near term.
- Mortgage Guidelines Knowledge: Possess a deep understanding of mortgage guidelines, including conventional, FHA, VA, and other relevant programs.
- Communication and Sales Skills: Exhibit strong communication, sales, and interpersonal skills to engage with clients effectively.
- Self-Starter Attitude: Be a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, startup-like environment.
- Tech-Savvy: Demonstrate comfort and proficiency in navigating digital loan origination systems and CRM tools.
- Organizational Skills: Show strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
- Customer Service Passion:Be passionate about customer service and committed to ethical lending practices.

While performing general duties for this position, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand and/or walk around (including the use of stairs).
