We’re looking for a hard-working Product Test Technician to join us at Cirrus Logic. You will be supporting the development of production test solutions for high volume manufacture of sophisticated mixed signal semiconductors. The position will require you to work a dayshift/backshift rotation.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor lab equipment status and perform routine maintenance and calibration
- Support breakdown maintenance and troubleshooting of production tests development hardware
- Respond to engineering requests from development teams for mechanical setups and testing on ATE, Handler and Prober
- Test engineering samples and customer returns on ATE
- Debug, repair and verify complex engineering and production PCB load boards
- Assist Test and Product Engineering teams with introduction of new production hardware
- Support inventory control in-house and with subcontractors
Skills and Qualification:
- Relevant experience in production or semiconductor environment, or HNC in Electronics or Mechatronics
- Knowledge and experience on production mixed-signal IC testers and handling systems
- Excellent soldering skills and knowledge of PCB repair techniques
- Hands-on experience with lab equipment, such as oscilloscopes, power supplies, and digital multimeters
- PCB schematic design (Mentor Graphic PADS or Xpedition) and some understanding of PCB layout
- Interpretation of Data Sheets
- Excellent problem-solving, fault-finding skills, with attention to detail
This position is based in our Edinburgh office and will require you to work a dayshift/backshift rotation.
