- Act as a cross-functional resource, working closely with country risk and sectoral analysts to integrate their expertise into market-relevant outputs.
- Devise and launch new research products that connect Eurasia Group's political and macroeconomic analysis to tangible investment outcomes, enhancing client value and retention.
- Dedicate at least 30% of time to direct client interaction (via calls, in-person meetings, digital channels), developing strong client relationships that drive retention and upsells.
- Be an expert resource for colleagues to help spot and highlight market risks and opportunities with strong political underpinnings.
- Continuously generate innovative research ideas that expand EG's capabilities and differentiate us as a thought leader in geoeconomics.
Role Requirements:
- 5–15 years' experience working in global financial markets as a strategist or trader, with substantial focus on FX and rates.
- Proven ability to synthesize complex macroeconomic and geopolitical scenarios and clearly communicate likely market outcomes.
- Demonstrable track record with sophisticated institutional investors, such as asset managers, in delivering insightful, value-add commentary and analysis.
- Strong quantitative skills, including Excel and Bloomberg; familiarity with Macrobond and programming languages a plus.
- Capacity to create both thematic research (big-picture narratives) and in-depth quantitative/technical analysis.
- Exceptionally strong written and verbal communication skills; able to present complex arguments with clarity to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Based in New York or London, with significant domestic and international travel expected.
- Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree a plus.
- Eligible to work in the United States or the United Kingdom.
Career Development: This is a high-profile, global-facing role offering significant exposure to cutting-edge geopolitical and market analysis. Success will be measured by analytical impact, product development, and deepening client relationships, with the opportunity to expand responsibilities, build a team, and establish thought leadership within EG and the broader market community.
The applicable base salary range for this role is $150,000 to $170,000
The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, and education. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis.
