We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Logistics Coordinator to join our Houston-based team. This individual will be a key player in ensuring timely and cost-effective movement of goods from our factories to customer distribution centers across North and South America.
Position Overview:
As a Logistics Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating shipments, working closely with internal departments, third-party logistics partners, and customers. Your ability to manage multiple moving parts, prioritize fast-paced shipments, and identify cost-saving opportunities will be critical to success in this role. This is a hybrid position based from Houston, Texas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate stock movement from factory to customer distribution points, ensuring timely delivery and cost efficiency.
- Collaborate daily with internal Sales and Purchasing departments to align logistics with business needs.
- Communicate with customers to arrange shipments and facilitate customs clearance.
- Manage relationships with multiple logistics partners and coordinators to streamline the end-to-end process.
- Maintain deep knowledge of import/export regulations across North and South America.
- Ensure compliance with international customs clearance, tariffs, and documentation requirements.
- Handle urgent and time-sensitive shipments with precision and efficiency.
- Identify and implement cost-saving strategies within the logistics and shipping process.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, International Business, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in logistics coordination, preferably with international shipping exposure.
- Strong understanding of freight forwarding, customs processes, and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills with the ability to coordinate across multiple teams and time zones.
- Proven track record in managing complex logistics operations and achieving cost optimization.
- Proficiency in logistics software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a strong plus but not required.
