Our team is the heart of our business. Reporting to the Vice President of People Services, as the People Services Business Partner, you will work closely with managers and employees throughout the organization to deliver full-scope People Services support, including payroll, benefits, employee relations, and performance management. You will also play a key role in helping develop clear, job-relevant training content that supports safety, compliance, and operational excellence.
What You Will Do:
HR Consulting
•Develop an understanding of O’Donnell/Snider’s core services and the construction industry.
•Provide guidance and support on day-to-day People Services matters including hiring, onboarding, benefits, policy interpretation, and employee relations. Serve as a trusted advisor for both Field and Office employees, building strong relationships with supervisors, project managers, and support teams.
•Help reinforce a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
HRIS & Data Analytics
•Support the implementation and adoption of systems (such as UKG) to drive efficiency and improve employee experience.
•Analyze trends in People Services data (e.g., turnover, engagement, training completion) and make recommendations to improve People Services practices.
Benefits & Compensation
•Administer employee benefits programs and support open enrollment, new hire education, and life event changes. Communicate benefits to employees and address employee benefit inquiries.
•Maintain a collaborative partnership with benefit broker and manage monthly benefit payment schedule.
•Participate in market salary surveys and maintain market compensation data.
Talent Management and Learning
•Partners with project teams to translate job knowledge into structured, scalable training content for onboarding, safety, compliance, and skills development.
•Advise managers and leaders on talent development.
•Support performance and talent review processes.
Payroll
•Review payroll submissions (UKG) to ensure accuracy and timely processing; address payroll inquiries and partner with managers or the vendor to resolve issues.
Qualifications:
•Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
•5+ years of progressive HR experience; construction or construction industry experience a plus.
•Hands-on experience with payroll and benefits administration; UKG experience is a plus.
•Experience coaching managers and facilitating performance review processes.
•Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to translate technical knowledge into accessible training content.
•Proactive, organized, and able to adapt in a dynamic, project-driven environment.
