POSITION PURPOSE
A Production Team Member is responsible for assisting in the production and filling of paint, ensuring quality standards, while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. This role involves working closely with the entire team, operating machinery, and handling raw materials to produce paint that meet company specifications.The role is pivotal in ensuring efficiency, productivity, and alignment with the company"s strategic goals.
The role encompasses many phases of the production process from pulling raw materials, producing batches, quality control of finished goods as well as filling into the proper packaging.The Production Batch maker has three levels, each allowing the team member to produce a more diverse level of paints and job functions.Each level requires testing and must be completed in one year from start date.
- Operate and monitor paint mixing, blending, and packaging equipment (Level 1 +).
- Measure, weigh, and mix raw materials according to specified formulations (Level 1 +).
- Adjust mixer and filling machine settings to ensure consistency in product quality (Level 1 +).
- Conduct quality control checks, such as color matching and viscosity testing (Level 1 +).
- Record production data and report any deviations or defects in the Company's ERP (Level 1 +).
- Ensure compliance with product specifications and standards per fill ticket and lab direction (Trainee +).
- Store, and organize raw materials and finished products (Trainee +).
- Load and unload materials safely, using forklifts or pallet jacks (Trainee +).
- Adhere to all safety protocols and wear PPE (personal protective equipment) (Trainee +)
- Handle chemicals in compliance with company and regulatory guidelines (Trainee +)
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace (Trainee +).
- Work collaboratively with other production team members and supervisors (Trainee +).
- Communicate effectively to resolve issues and meet production targets (Level 1 +).
- Participate in team meetings and training sessions (Trainee +).
- Identify and report equipment malfunctions or breakdowns to Production Supervisor and Building Manager (Trainee +).
- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving operational issues (Level 1 +).
- Ensures all cleaning and disinfecting policies are adhered to (Trainee +).
- Compiling production records in ERP on a timely fashion (Level 1 +).
- Identify issues in efficiency and suggest improvements (Level 1 +).
Key Constituents:
- WarehouseTeam Members
- Ensure production needs are meet to ensure team members have sufficient inventory to pull orders from.
- Produce daily needs in a timely fashion to ensure shipping date targets are met.
- Lab
- Work with Lab to address any concerns in regards to production and quality.
- Work with Lab to learn processes and QC procedures that will enable quality results.
- Production Planner
- Follow the daily schedule to meet daily shipment needs.
- Communicate any delays or issues in regards to daily production needs.
- Sales Team Members
- Ensure the highest quality paint is being made in an efficient and timely manner.
- If any delays, ensure the sales team member is advised.
MEASURES OF SUCCESS
- Growing profitability within Produciton operations be reducing costs throught improved operations, elimination of waste and other efficiencies.
- Widespread adoption of processes by the Production team members.
- Growing knowledge and competence within the Production teams.
- First hit KPI is above set target.
- Production KPI (scheduled vs. actual) is above set target.

LICENSES OR CERTIFICATES
Must be able to complete and pass Pioneer's Safety Training Program.
