Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Warehouse Operations Management
• Oversee daily warehouse activities including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping.
• Ensure accurate inventory control and participate in regular stock audits and cycle counts.
• Monitor KPIs such as order accuracy, pick rates, on-time dispatch, and stock levels.
Staff Supervision & Development
• Lead and support warehouse operatives, forklift drivers, and team leaders.
• Assist with hiring, onboarding, and training of warehouse staff.
• Create and manage shift schedules; handle performance issues and escalations.
Process & Efficiency Improvement
• Identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies in the workflow and recommend improvements.
• Assist in implementing Lean practices (e.g., 5S, waste reduction) to optimize space and labor use.
• Support digital transformation efforts, such as barcode/RFID systems or warehouse management
systems (WMS).
Health & Safety Compliance
• Enforce safety protocols in line with OSHA or local health and safety regulations.
• Conduct regular safety audits and ensure proper use of PPE and equipment.
• Investigate and document incidents, and implement corrective actions.
Inventory & Equipment Management
• Ensure accurate inventory records and resolve discrepancies.
• Oversee the proper maintenance and operation of warehouse equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks).
• Coordinate with procurement and logistics teams for inbound/outbound shipments.
• Responsibility for resource utilization and productivity management
• Ensure quality standards are maintained according to requirements by our customers.
• Maintain the customer relationship with our customers.
• Evaluate talent and develop plan for developing and upgrading talent where necessary.
• Adopt best practices for key business processes with a goal of continuous improvement.
Experience Requirements
• Education: Diploma or Bachelor's in Logistics, Supply Chain, Operations Management, or a related field.
• Experience: 5–7 years in warehouse operations, with at least 3-5 years in a supervisory or management
role.
• Certifications (preferred): Forklift license, Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt).
• ISO 9001: General working knowledge
Qualifications & Skills:
Technical Skills
• High-level experience with SAP WMS (Warehouse Management Systems). Must demonstrate
• Proficiency with inventory tracking tools and Excel reporting.
• Understanding of logistics and distribution processes.
Soft Skills
• Strong leadership, organization, and time management.
• Effective communication and team coordination.
• Ability to make quick decisions and handle high-pressure situations.
Additional Notes:
• Fast-paced warehouse or distribution center.
• Physically demanding at times; requires being on the floor frequently.
• Shift work, including weekends or nights, may be required depending on operations.
