They are seeking a Field Service Engineer who will be responsible and accountable for traveling to customer sites to install, service, and repair food processing machinery. use deep technical knowledge to assist with and provide guidance in the testing of our technologies and to provide assistance on troubleshooting issues for complex customer installations. The position is also responsible for generating and distributing technical reports regarding testing results.
What You'll Do
- Travels to customer locations to install, service, and repair food processing machinery.
- Must be flexible with scheduling, including periodic weekends (both scheduled and unscheduled).
- Willingness to travel frequently, including overnight stays as needed.
- Supports customer satisfaction with effective maintenance and repair of food production equipment in the meat, bakery, cheese, poultry, and seafood processing plants.
- Inspects equipment to detect or determine any issues or malfunctions.
- Troubleshoots mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electronic control systems to provide technical support, installation of new equipment, preventative maintenance, and on-site equipment repairs.
- Works as part of a collaborative team to support and share specialized technical expertise.
- Manages spare parts inventory.
- Maintains customer equipment repair and maintenance records.
- Fosters and maintains excellent relations with customers.
- This position interacts and interfaces with senior management and all employees, especially German technical resources, field service personnel, applications, sales, and parts department members. In addition, there will be frequent contact with customers and potential customers.
What You Need
- Required:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Basic knowledge of pneumatic hydraulic power systems or control systems.
- Minimum of two years of mechanical or electrical repair experience.
- Preferred:
- Knowledge of electronics, mechanics, AC and DC servo drives, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
- Travel 85%

- Technically and mechanically proficient.
