Job Summary:
The PCT II works under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse to provide compassionate personal care, comfort, and safety for patients.The PCT II works within their scope of practice and is assigned tasks that are reasonably predictable, do not require assessment, interpretation or independent decision-making during its performance, or do not pose any risk to the patient.The PCT II is attentive not only the needs of patients but also to the needs of the family accompanying the patient. The PCT II collaborates with all members of the health care team to provide care.The PCT II is cross-trained to assume Unit Secretary functions.
Minimum Qualifications:
Current licensure to practice as a Nursing Assistant in the State of Rhode Island or enrolled in a BSN program, with completion of clinical hours and application for licensure with the RI Department of Health. Ability to understand and perform instructions and procedures. Previous Nursing Assistant experience with positive evaluation from Manager preferred. Excellent interpersonal skills, customer service orientation, and ability to work as a team member with close attention to organizational skills. Current BLS certification for health providers meeting the American Heart Association criteria. Previous Unit Secretary experience preferred or cross-trained to perform additional duties. High school graduate or equivalent
Salary Range: $21.45- $25.00
