This position is responsible for coordinating and implementation of all cable installation requests. Responsible for hospital-wide cable system to include but not limited to the following: Data cable, telecommunication cable, paging, nurse call, TV cable, telemetry cable, fiber optics, etc. Manage and maintain the integrity of all fire and smoke walls. Develop procedures to support cable management such as routing and color coding. Mapping of new and existing cables (Network). Working with low voltage cable, conduit and circuits. Pulling and terminating wiring cable such as Cat 5E or 6. Working on DC battery systems. Trimming out security devices. Programming video surveillance equipment. Installing and wiring alarm panels. Working with coaxial cables, category rated cables and fiber optics. Testing and adjusting connections to diagnose problems. Analyzing schematics, blueprints, and drawings of low voltage electronic systems.

High School Diploma Required
Additional Certification Details
Prefer certification Cat 5, 6 and Fiber Optics
Experience Requirements
Minimum 3 years experience.
Experience in another health care facility desirable.
Computer experience needed.
Must have good working knowledge of current city, state, federal, NFPA and TJC regulations relating applicable codes.
Must read and interpret blueprints, schematics, manufacturer’s manuals, troubleshooting charts and procedures.
