The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) is responsible for providing leadership, strategic direction, and operational oversight to ensure the delivery of high-quality healthcare services. The CEO will work collaboratively with the Board of Directors, medical staff, employees, and the community to fulfill the hospital's mission, vision, and values.

Essential Functions
- Responsible for hiring and managing senior level executives, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment and motivating employees.
- Develop and implement long-term strategic plans aligning day to day operations with strategic goals and driving organizational growth that align with the hospital’s mission while responding to community health needs.
- Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring efficient and effective management of resources.
- Foster a culture of patient-centered care, quality improvement, and regulatory compliance.
- Build strong relationships with physicians, staff, patients, and the broader community while prioritizing patient safety and quality of care.
- Ensure financial sustainability by monitoring financial performance, identifying growth opportunities, and ensuring financial stability.
- Represent the hospital in community outreach, partnership development, and fundraising activities.
- Maintain compliance with local, state, and federal healthcare regulations and accreditation standards.
Recruit, develop, and retain a high-performing leadership team.
- Facilitating communication among board members, staff, patients, community leaders and other stakeholders
- Report regularly to the Board of Directors on hospital performance, challenges, and opportunities.
- Lead and manage crisis situations, including emergency preparedness.
Minimum Education/Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration (MHA), Business Administration (MBA), or related field preferred.
Minimum Work Experience
- Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare administration, with at least 3 years at an executive level.
- Demonstrated knowledge of hospital operations, healthcare regulations, and financial management.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
- Commitment to community involvement and service excellence.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
- This role is based on site at the hospital and requires regular interaction with hospital staff, patients, board members, and the community. Some evening and weekend responsibilities may be necessary to attend meetings and community events.
