Job Summary:
The Compliance Coordinator plays a key role in ensuring organization-wide compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies. This position is responsible for developing and maintaining effective compliance programs, monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) to mitigate risk, conducting on-site audits, and partnering with various departments under the guidance of the Compliance Officer.
In collaboration with the Compliance Committee, the Compliance Coordinator will address and resolve compliance concerns, implement preventive strategies, and promote a culture of integrity through a confidential reporting system that empowers employees to report misconduct without fear of retaliation. The ideal candidate is a highly organized, detail-oriented professional with strong administrative skills, a proactive mindset, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Utilize data analytics to monitor, assess, and identify compliance risks, trends, and areas for improvement.
- Investigate reports of potential non-compliance and provide comprehensive reports on findings with recommendations
- Submit reports, dashboards, and presentations using Microsoft Office and business intelligence tools to the Compliance Manager
- Communicate findings of audits to the Compliance Manager and Director of Data Analytics
- Keep up-to-date with applicable laws, regulatory requirements, and best practices
- Ensure proper control, retention, and archival of documentation
- Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of compliance policies and procedures.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation and records related to quality assurance and compliance activities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve compliance issues and streamline processes.
- Prepare summaries and trend reports for compliance meetings, regulatory agencies and leadership review.
- Serve as a liaison between the organization and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with applicable laws, standards, and guidelines.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
Qualifications:

- Ability to independently manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.

- Must have excellent problem solving, critical thinking, organizational, interpersonal, and motivational skills, and ability to multi-task.
- Ensure proper control, retention, and archival of documentation
- Familiarity with medical terminology and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Experience working in a fast-paced medical or healthcare setting.
- Prior exposure to compliance or quality assurance processes or related functions is preferred.
- Exceptional organizational and documentation abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Demonstrated ability to manage confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
